Music moves people and it is an excellent conduit for conveying a message, thought, concept or idea. It can express emotion or speak out against injustice, unfortunately most of the time musics message capability is abused and misused for the purpose of making a quick buck.
Dat Other Hip Hop, (a.k.a Christian Rap, Holy Hip Hop or Gospel Rap)recognizes music's potential and utilizes it to reach a generation and a culture with the Good News of Jesus Christ. There are a lot of traditional Churches and Christians who do not relate to the culture and therefore see it as a threat, or something that is unpleasing to God.
Dat Other Hip Hop takes the Gospel Message outside of the four walls of the church and into the streets and urban communities.
Dat Other Hip Hop is more than just music or rap, it is all of the positive redeemable qualities of hip hop infused with a Higher Purpose. It's rap, graffiti art, dancing, spoken word, poetry and more.
