There has been a lot going on lately in Dat Other Hip Hop. Here's a short mid-week review a brief look at some of what has been going on:
Newly Released
New projects are droppin left and right it's almost hard to keep up with them. Here's a few of the recent projects that have dropped.
LORD FIRE by Theory Hazit is heatin things up! This indy project from Theory dropped on Jun 24th and has been blazin since. Mr Hazit teamed up with Vintage to create an instant hip hop classic. Hip Hop heads are gonna love this one. Theory Hazit's projects are always a treat for the ear and this one is no different. Be on the look out for the review here soon!

Liberation by Excelsius released 6/24What can I say I love every project X does. He is always on point and manages to load every track full of wisdom and knowledge if Dat Other Hip Hop had a Bishop...Excelsius would have to be it! This latest project of his Liberation is right on time as it tackles issues like addiction, pornography and being Set Free in Christ. With the help of a few guest artist Excelsius takes the listener on a fantastic musical voyage..and if you aren't careful you just might learn somethin by the end of the CD better yet ya just might get LIBERATED!

Life on Life by JSON Ridaz Rejoice! This is music you can ride to. JSON helps to heat things up this summer. If you have never heard any of his projects before you may recognize his voice from the interludes on Flame's projects Our World Fallen and Our World Redeemed. Life on Life is both bangin and relevant. You wont find any spiritually thin rhymes here. This is his sophomore release but it feels like he has been wieldin the mic forever. Life on Life will not disappoint...you can't go wrong with production and music from the likes of Tony Stone, them So Hott Boys and even Chike who is a a BEAT Monsta!!

Our Turn by Humble Tip Less than a few weeks away. This drops on Aug 5th be ready!
If the first video/single is any indication of what we can expect from "Our Turn" it's all GOOD! Building on the premise that other artist have had their turn to use the mic to represent and have wasted it on promotin drugs, money and sex. The CFRN Chronicles Mixtape presented by DJ I Rock JesusThe CFRN (Christian Female Rap Network) brings the heat from the sistas with the release of The Chronicles Mixtape. This project features heavy hitters like Elle Roc, Octavia Harris, Serenity, Regal, Latoria and Cameron. You don't want to miss this one as the ladies prove that they can hold it down for the Kingdom also. Slated for release on Aug 15th but is also available for pre-order here. Let's show the ladies some love and support this project be sure to tell em Dat Other Hip Hop sent ya.

Video Shoots
Flame - Cross Movement Records' Christian Rap artist FLAME is working on the video for the hip hop rock infused track JOYFUL NOISE single from his Billboard chart-topping album OUR WORLD REDEEMED . Shooting was scheduled to begin on May 23 in Atlanta, GA. The music video will also feature Christian Rock artist John Reilly (of the Philly based band Reilly) and Reach Records' Christian Rap artist Lecrae. The track is hot (another Chike production) can't wait to see the video

RAWSRVNT - Them FLA Boyz Rawsrvnt and Pettidee had Florida Throwin them Bows up at then end of May when they began shooting the video for Bows Up! Filming took place at one of the livest spots in Florida...Crossover Church. With Spec workin behind the scenes we know the final product is going to be just as hype as the song! (Spec also directed Raw's Holiness video.)
